For the animatic, I designed a set of characters, preliminary production design, and an animatic sequence. The premise of the assignment was to create a trailer for an imaginary film. The film already had a set number of characters with names and a title. Despite those constraints, I had full control over the story. I built a formal vocabulary with the characters and implemented them consistently throughout the animatic, and produced a coherent narrative through a clear sequence of events and actions.
This animatic was selected by professors to represent Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis at the National Associations of Schools of Art and Design exhibition in October 2022.
