After a variety of iterations, I concluded this design best described who I was as an artist. Constraining myself to a single color and small dimensions, I had to be intentional with the marks I was making. I love playing with hand lettered type, especially the organic shapes. The quirky soft type highlights the qualities I like about myself. The subject is a portrait of myself, trying to find a way to claim the space around me in my own way. As a little Easter egg, I placed the positions of the legs in a position that mirrors my artist signature as my signature for the piece.
