Growing up, I had the privilege of visiting Brazil to spend time with my grandparents. My grandmother's home was a treasure trove of local Brazilian paintings. While they didn't have a Tarsila do Amaral painting, they did have an original Wellington Virgolino de Sousa. I spent a lot of time during staring at it along with the other paintings on the wall.
These experiences became the seeds of inspiration for my own artistic journey. Drawing from my grandmother's vast art collection and my fascination with Brazilian artists, I embarked on a personal exploration.
