2 Color Risograph
I wanted to create a poster for an imaginary art fair in Brazil, where vendors sell their handmade crafts and local street food delicacies that are special to the different groups in Brazil. We were limited to two colors, so I also wanted to make use of the riso print and push the values of the colors. I love the texture that comes from Risograph printing so I capitalized on that as well, by creating a design that would maximize that look while being fun and fresh. I decided to take a risk by incorporating the wavy side walk motif that decorates the sidewalks of Brazil in my piece, because those who have never been might not recognize the pattern. Despite that, I strongly believe it was a crucial detail to include, especially when it's deeply intertwined with the Brazilian culture.
